What is a book? What is language? In the race to find and fund the next technology, and distribute information in increasingly complicated streams, it's possible to ignore the philosophical underpinnings of change because we're trying so to hard to keep up. Let's pause to consider five essential issues that define our intellectual literary culture, and reflect on how libraries rise to this historical moment by answering these critical questions.

Lydia Netzer

Lydia Netzer is the author of Shine Shine Shine, which was a New York Times Notable Book and a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize, and How to Tell Toledo from the Night Sky. She lives in Norfolk with her two homeschooled children and teaches literature and writing.
